The beginning

The beginning of the Taste Water story goes way back to 2015 when a young Jacob together with his wife were expecting their first child. Jacob decided that a big change was necessary after leading a really unhealthy lifestyle. He committed himself to working out and eating right and cutting the nasty sugars.


During his daily runs, he often drank flavoured water thinking it healthy for him until one day he read the ingredients only to discover it contained preservatives, artificial ingredients and bad sugar. He searched high and low for alternatives but found none to be sugar-free, calorie-free and preservative free. Inspired by his childhood memories of his grandmother Aziza's fruit-infused water, Jacob started making his own at home as a tasty replacement.

Jacob knew what had to do. He needed to recreate that still water with that incredible taste but without any of the nasties.

When the real estate market in which Jacob worked in came to a grinding halt with Sydney's lockdown in 2020, Jacob decided to turn his idea into a business.

With his wife Chana's science background, they began creating a drink that combined water with natural fruit flavours. After two years of research and countless iterations from their small kitchen bench top, they eventually perfected Taste Water: a still water that tastes great without sugar, calories, preservatives, or sweeteners.

Launching in 2022, Taste Water quickly attracted health-conscious consumers and those who recognised that water can be better without the nasties. They have started a movement towards clean, clear and great tasting water. Now available internationally and locally at stores like Terry White, IGA, and WHSmith.
